Dedication
To the engineers who build the systems that keep us safe.
To the process pioneers who showed us that quality can be engineered, not just inspected.
To the AI researchers who are creating tools that amplify human capability.
And to the next generation of practitioners who will take these foundations and build something even greater.

A Personal Note
This book represents the culmination of years of experience across multiple industries—automotive, industrial automation, and safety-critical systems.
Throughout my career, I've witnessed the evolution from purely manual processes to increasingly automated workflows. Each technological shift brought promises of revolution, but the reality was always more nuanced.
AI is different.
Not because it's inherently more revolutionary than previous technologies, but because it addresses the one area that has always been the bottleneck: cognitive work. Requirements analysis, architecture review, code generation, test design—these activities that consume the majority of engineering effort can now be augmented in ways that were impossible just a few years ago.
Yet the fundamental truth remains: humans must remain in control of safety-critical decisions. This book is dedicated to finding that balance—leveraging AI for efficiency while maintaining the human judgment that ensures safety, security, and quality.
